To find what your looking for in the save games folder
of Z:SS you'll find files of the 'sz2' variety.
NOT the 'sz2.snf' file. Take this file '?????.sz2' and
open it with "HexEdit" by Geoffrey Prewett.
Then search for the floating point value of 10,000 for
the first scenario save. To search with hex the look for
the code 00401C46 and right beside it will be another
00401C46 and the a few numbers down the row you'll find
it again.
This is where the 10,000 credits are for the first scenario
game save.

Change ALL 3 of these values to 00247449 and you'll have
1,000,000 credits when you return and reload this game.
Remember not to change only one or two of the above locations
or it won't work. You have to change all 3.

Below is a list of the even credits from 10,000 on up to 15,000:

If you want more of the above then goto the web and find
HexEdit, dowload it and use it. To find the floating point
value download WinHack and use its calculator feature which

Level select:
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file;
create a backup copy of the file before proceeding.
Use a text editor to edit the ".zcm"
file in the "bin" folder in the game folder.
The file contains a number which represents the
current level. Change that number to "210614544".

Rapid Shockwave attack:
Note: This can only be done on the unpatched game in
single player mode. Hold [Shift] and repeatedly click
on an immobile target while the shockwave unit charges.
Multiple energy blasts will be fired.

The Quagmire Cheat
While inside the Quagmire Insurance menu, you can
press Ctrl-Q. This will randomly generate a new
price. We recommend using this cheat if the original
insurance price is high. In this case, there is a
high probability that you will save some zables.
However, if the price of insurance is already low,
we don't recommend using this cheat button. It just
may backfire on you.

The Travelers Cheat
While inside the Travel Options menu, you can press
Ctrl-T to randomly generate a new selection of travel
times and costs. This may allow you to travel to a
better location at a lower price. However, it's a
gamble because by pressing Ctrl-T, you are committing
yourself to a journey, and if you don't like the new
travel times and costs, you're stuck.

The Construction Cheat
While inside the Edifice Construction menu, you can
press Ctrl-C. This will randomly generate a new
construction cost. We recommend using this cheat if
the original cost of construction is high. In this
case, there is a high probability that you will save
some zables. However, if the cost of construction is
already low, we don't recommend using this cheat button.
It just may backfire on you.

The Royal Cheat
While inside the Royal Wholesaler menu, you can press
Ctrl-B to buy a random product. You should only use this
cheat if there is nothing else to buy and you want to try
your luck at purchasing a completely random product.
Sometimes this will pay off and other times you'll get stuck
with worthless goods.

The down side to all these cheats is that they disappear when you save a
game and then load it to play again. But you can type them in again and
they will work.


HexCheat:
Go to folder install Zoo Tycoon

reduce the cost and save it.. by changing cost of all
animals, stones, fences, items and everything in the game
you can reduce the cost.

bonus $10,000:
hold down shift and 4 to get $10,000.note do this before
starting to build your zoo because while doing this cheat
the fences will wear out very quickly.

in your zoo tycoon demo directory find the zoodemo.ini
and open it with notepad. Find where it has "MSStartingCash"
and type the amount of money you want to start with.
Under that you will see a "MSCashIncrement" skip that
and go to "MSMinCash" and type the minimum amount of
cash you can get. Under that you will see a "MSMaxCash"
and type the amount you want the max cash you can get to
be.


Open the path where ZOO TYCOON is installed.
Click the zoodemo(not the game file which has a
eye with the word ZOO)which is the configuration
settings file.Search for MSStartingCash= 75000.
Change the 75000 into some other value.Run ZOO TYCOON,
and play a FreeForm game.Now you will have the amount
you entered.

Easter eggs:

Crazy fountain:
Enter the menu to buy a fountain. Right click on the
"Elephant Fountain" and press [Shift] + [Ctrl] + [Alt].
Your fountain will spray water all over your guests.

Dancing cucumbers guests:
Name your zoo Green Brine and on May 17 a group of dancing cucumbers
with hula skirts will appear.

Jurassic Park:
Name a guest Barney. The guest should now be in a Barney the dinosaur
costume. Rename the same guest Bad Weekend. Open the Freedom game menu
and select the "Jurassic Park" entry.

Darth Vader worker:
Name any staff Darker Side. Darth Vader will be on the Hire Staff screen.

Evil Penguins:
Put a herbivore with a penguin. After a fight, all penguins will be evil.

Killer bees:
Put an insect house in a crocodile's exhibit. A swarm of killer bees will
attack your guests.

Animals rampage:
Put all the animals in the same exhibit then set them free. They will tear
down your trees, trample your paths, and reduce your buildings to rubble.

Yellow brick road footpath:
Place a lion, tiger, and a bear in an exhibit.

Hold [Shift]+[W]+[UP] for ultra fast sun.

Free trees and other stuff:
When you are in any zoo mode (campaign, challenge, and freeform) most
zoos should have already existing trees(and occasionally things like
flower beds, benches, etc.) at the start. All you have to do is left
click the item you want and move it to where you want it. This saves
money when you are on a tight budget and is really easy.

Secrets:
Run in Zoo Guest Mode and Photo Safari Mode: Since left-clicking the
mouse makes you walk in Zoo Guest and Photo Safari Mode, and so
does W or Up, you can walk twice as fast (aka run) by holding two of these.

Additional Money:
This requires you to do some file editing, but it's very easy.
Open the zoo.ini in your Zoo Tycoon directory with notepad or
a similar text editor. Find the line that says "MSMaxCash".
Change the figure next to it to whatever you want. This will
change the maximum amount of money you can choose from when you
start a zoo in the sandbox mode, for example

Developer Mode:
If you have one of the BETA versions, hit [Ctrl]+[D] to access
the Developer Mode. It will allow you to move zoo entrances and
fences, add odd buildings, and even add vehicles. Remember, this
only works in the BETA builds of Zoo Tycoon. I tried it with the
full version, and it didn't work.

Make Trees or Grid Disappear/Appear:
By pressing [Ctrl] + [F], you can make all trees in your zoo "disappear"
(they still exist, they are just invisible for building purposes).
Select [Ctrl] + [F] again to make them reappear
By pressing [Ctrl] + [G], you can make the main zoo grid appear
of dissappear, allowed you to judge the zoo from a regular smooth
vantage point, or see each individual square.

Unlock Triceratops:
Name one of your exhibits "Cretaceous Corral". This will unlock
the Triceratops. I should also note that if you name a brand new
exhibit using this cheat, it will crash the game. Everyone who's
done it with a new exhibit has experienced this, so keep it in mind.

Yellow brick road:
Make an exhibit with a lion, a tiger and a bear. This will unlock
the yellow brick path.


Exhibit codes:
Name one of your exhibits accordingly for the desired effect.
It should also be noted that if you name a brand new exhibit using
this cheat, it will crash the game. Everyone who's done it with
a new exhibit has experienced this, so keep it in mind.

Every time you obtain one of the 24 needed items, your score will
increase by 12 points. There is a character called the Jester, who
will both help and annoy you. He will give you a funny paper and
a slate, both of which contain important information that may vary
from game to game. When he sticks a clown nose on your face, you
must remove it before you suffocate. When he turns you into an
alligator, you will drop all your possessions and be unable to
pick up anything until you turn back a few moves.

as you circle the altar.
Air: The air element is hidden in the tower adjoining the main altar room.
Look for the entrance in the right corner of the room behind the
Dome of the Celestial Spheres
Earth: The earth element is hidden in a secret cavern below the Temple.
The entrance to the underground is in the gallery adjoining the

Slow down ball movement:
Look in the "\Zuma Deluxe!\levels\" folder for a file called "levels.xml"
and open it using Notepad (make a backup copy of it first).

Go aprox halfway down until you see the following line: lvl11
means level 1-1. So, if you want to slow down the speed of the
balls for this level, all you have to do is change the speed
setting from 0.5 to 0.2 and then exit and save.

If you're stuck on a higher level, say 12-7, and then just go a
few lines lower to where it says lvl127 and change its speed setting
to 0.2 and save.

Note: don't confuse the lvl11 line above with the level11 line
on the same page.
